Florence Louise Bryant was born in Boston, MA on October 4, 1890. She studied in Washington, DC at the Corcoran School of Art, National School of Fine & Applied Arts, and the Philadelphia School of Design for Women. An early marriage (1918-25) to J. M. Condon ended in divorce, and in 1933 she married artist Frank J. MacKenzie. She then maintained studios in San Francisco and Washington, DC. At the latter she was the head artist for Bureau of Exhibits and United States Forestry Service from 1917-42. As the wife of Ned Walton, she died in San Francisco on April 8, 1968.
