Ruth Aikens 

1886 - 1966

Ruth Evelyn Aikens was born in Illinois on October 28, 1886. While a resident of Oakland in 1909-10, she ferried daily to San Francisco to study at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute. A spinster, she died in Sacramento on December 22, 1966. An accomplished watercolorist, her works are rare.
