Henry Carl LUHRS

Henry Carl Luhrs, an illustrator and painter, was born in San Francisco, CA on January 18, 1897. After serving in World War One, he returned to his native city and established a studio. His illustrations appeared in national magazines. He later had a boat company in Laguna Beach where he obtained much of his subject matter. He died there on February 23, 1964.
