Anna MACOUILLARD  

1888 - 1971

Anna Macouillard, a painter and photographer, was born in San Francisco, California on November 2, 1888 of French parents. Anna was the aunt of artist Louis Macouillard. She studied at the local Institute of Art. For much of her artwork she used the pseudonym Ann Jana. A spinster and lifelong resident San Francisco, she died on June 14, 1971. Exhibited: San Francisco Art Ass'n, 1916-17.
